Compensation:
$131,185.60 - $157,560.00/yr (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Inspire and lead a high-performing team of Software Engineers and Automation Developers
Software Development: Oversee the architecture, design, and development of innovative software solutions
Technology Integration: Ensure key capabilities are integrated into the technology platform.
SDLC Management: Manage the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in line with ISO/IEC 12207 standards..
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with various departments to develop new applications and enhance existing software.
Technical Advisory: Provide technical support and lead relationships with vendors and software developers.
Industry Awareness: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of informal experience in leading complex IT systems integration and software development.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
Minimum of 5 years of operational knowledge and experience in agile software development frameworks and associated source control and lifecycle management systems and standards.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Experience working in a Financial Services software development environment
Experience leading complex software engineering and software development projects
Experience leading cross-functional projects
Experience with Robotic Process Automation technology and platforms
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, exempt level position. Hours will generally be Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm with occasional evening and weekend hours, as needed. In addition, this position is part of Royal's workplace flexibility program and can be hybrid after training and being proficient in the position, which is typically the first 3-6 months in the role. Candidates must be able to commit to the first 3-6 months being in-person. Please Note: We reserve the right to extend the training time in office as necessary. After successful onboarding, there will be a requirement to be on-site at the Royal Corporate Center in Eau Claire 2-4 times per month
Training:
Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.
Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
