Job Summary:
The Project Engineer (Hybrid) is responsible for onboarding new parts and assemblies into full-scale production. This role includes reviewing customer specifications, understanding program requirements, and ensuring that compliant products are produced and delivered. Tasks include populating MRP systems with technical data, generating documentation, and reviewing and approving tool designs.
Project Engineers (Hybrid) will work closely with internal technical teams to establish and implement technical solutions for customer-driven requests. They will also engage in customer-facing communication from contract award through the delivery of first articles and initial rate production.
While the role is primarily remote, occasional travel to Royal facilities may be required depending on project status, needs, and requirements. Maintaining the project schedule and budget is critical to success in this role.

Anticipated compensation for a candidate with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience is $82-95k/year. Compensation will be closely reviewed and weighted against relevant background and experience and can extend above the projected range should perceived employee value warrant so.
Additional Information
This position is eligible to be performed in a hybrid remote arrangement. While project workloads may require more or less on a short-term basis, we estimate this position to be approximately 65 percent remote. More on-site time will be needed in the early stages.

Key Responsibilities
- Material, Tooling, Process, and MRP Definition: Establish and update definitions for new products, ensuring all technical data is accurately entered into MRP systems.
- Technical Documentation Review and Approval: Review, author, evaluate, and approve technical data, including models, drawings, production planners, specifications, requirements, and procedures.
- Support Qualification Efforts: Assist in the qualification of new process equipment and tooling.
- First Article Support: Collaborate with production and product development teams to support the fabrication of first articles.
- Attendance and Reliability: Maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance in accordance with supervisor guidelines and company policies, consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable federal, state, and local standards.
- Compliance: Abide by all safety, quality, personnel, and other company policies.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the department and company.
