Job Summary
The Customer Service Associate plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences at Royal Farms. As a key member of the store leadership team, this associate facilitates various tasks related to food service, point of sale duties, customer service, general housekeeping, and other functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and acknowledging customers, maintaining high standards, demonstrating product knowledge, and addressing customer inquiries.
- Operate the cash register, handle different methods of payment, and maintain proper cash levels in the register drawer.
- Perform tasks related to Customer Self-Service machines, including directing and educating customers on the use of the system, monitoring transactions, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Assist with items not available using the Self-Checkout system alone and comply with federal and state laws regarding restricted products.
- Prepare made-to-order food and beverages, replenish products and supplies, inspect items, and perform customer fuel transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and report any unsafe conditions to leadership.
Requirements
- Be at least 17 years old.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities.
- Have basic math skills and computer literacy.
- Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and stand for up to eight hours per day.
