Royal Fresh Cuts Internship Program is designed for Industrial Engineering students or recent graduates seeking hands-on experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This internship offers the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge, develop practical skills, and contribute to operational improvements.
Duration: 12 weeks (Flexible based on academic requirements)
Looking for an intern for summer and or fall of 2025
Full-time (30-40hrs) or Part-time (20-28hrs) options available
Location: On-site (Both Royal Fresh Cuts Buildings)
Pay: This is a paid internship
Objectives
- Provide exposure in food production.
- Develop skills in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and data analysis.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on real-world projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies and workflow analysis.
- Assist in optimizing production layouts and material flows.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
- Participate in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Support the implementation of safety and quality improvement projects.
- Create reports and present findings to management.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles.

Work Conditions:
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on warehouse conditions.
- Cold and wet environment with temperatures ranging from 35 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must adhere to safety standards, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to wear slip resistance shoes
- Standard hazards associated with persons and equipment in motion in a warehouse.
Physical requirements
- Ability to read, write, see, hear, and speak clearly to ensure accurate documentation and effective communication.
- Ability to bend, squat, stoop, reach, turn, push and pull, and move around in a fast-paced environment as needed to complete job tasks.
- The employee must frequently stand and walk. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
