Job Description

Under general supervision, the Baler will keep all cardboard and wax board baled, and will maintain warehouse, dry, cooler, and loading dock in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties such as sweeping floors, cleaning floors, washing walls, removing rubbish, and emptying all waste cans. Employee must maintain a clean work area at all times, requiring extensive janitorial tasks. All duties will be performed in a cold environment and requires employees to be walking, standing and bending throughout the entire shift.

Duties and responsibilities

• Sweep floor
• Take out trash
• Cover all packaging materials
• Clean under pallets if needed
• Clean outside grounds if needed
• Clean dumpster area
• Bale all cardboard / wax boxes in bailer
• Follow and comply with company's safety program and rules at all times
• Work safely; report hazards to shift supervisor
• Wears proper personal protective equipment at all times
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to at all times
• Bale all cardboard and wax board, and maintain the bale storage area neatly and orderly
• Remove all refuse from building, ensuring that trashcans are empty and clean
• Communicate mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel
• Maintain warehouse floor throughout and clean drains throughout the shift as needed
• Breakdown cardboard / wax to be ready for baling
• Maintain a professional attitude
• Follow verbal instructions
• Keep your Supervisor informed of any problems
• Notify Supervisor of any unsafe practice
• Do not attempt to open any electrical panel
• Do not connect or disconnect any equipment not trained to do so
• Do not spray direct water to a motor or any electrical panel
• Do not move any equipment unless you have been told and properly trained to do so
