Royal Gorge Bridge & Park Water/Wasterwater Treatment Plant Operator
The Royal Gorge Bridge & Park has a unique opportunity for a Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant operator holding a Colorado Water D License or above. A Colorado B Licenses are desired for ORC status. The park operates its own water and wastewater system with intake from the Arkansas River, source water. The water plant is a .05 mgd conventional filtration system and the wastewater plant is an extended aeration .018 mgd package plant.
- Position requires operation and knowledge of computers, related-software programs, HMI’s, SCADA’s, pumps, constant monitoring of equipment,
- Knowledge of regulations, permitting, and recordkeeping required by the State of Colorado.
- Requires knowledge of calibration of equipment and collection of test samples.
- Successful candidate will have a working knowledge of both plant operations to cover when necessary.
- Will be expected to keep licensing current.
- This is a 7-day operation and operator will work a 40-hour week including holidays, weekends, or emergencies.
- Physical requirements include lifting, walking, climbing.
- Must have driver’s license with good record
- A background check may be conducted upon conditional offer of employment
- Drug screen will be performed.
This is a fulltime position with medical, dental, vision, LTD and Life policies, sick time and PTO.
Hourly Wage depending on License Status, Level of Experience and ORC status: $21 to $32
Salary : $21 - $32
