Summary: We are seeking an energetic, passionate, and strategic General Manager to lead our team and ensure the continued success of this thriving business. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in the hospitality, tourism, or restaurant industry and a strong leadership mindset. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent team management skills, and the ability to execute a winning game plan that drives operational excellence, revenue growth, and guest satisfaction.
Essential Functions
• Leadership & Team Development: Lead a team of managers and staff across multiple departments, providing clear expectations, positive reinforcement, and consistent follow-up to ensure accountability and high performance.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of the train’s daily operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality experiences for every guest.
• Guest Experience: Maintain and enhance guest service and hospitality that make the Royal Gorge Route a top-rated attraction.
• Financial & Business Strategy: Develop and execute business strategies to increase revenue, manage costs, and optimize profitability while ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
• Marketing & Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to drive ticket sales, create promotions, and enhance brand visibility.
• Performance Management: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for managers and staff, ensuring expectations are met and providing coaching and feedback as needed.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies are strictly followed.
• Manage a team of talented individuals responsible for both ensuring railcars and locomotives are in excellent condition, along with ensuring our operations crew is well managed.
• Event & Holiday Management: Oversee special events, peak seasons, and holiday operations to maximize guest enjoyment and operational efficiency.

Education/Minimum Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in hospitality, tourism, or restaurant management.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team while holding employees accountable.
• Strong business acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and operational management.
• A hands-on, energetic approach with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience working weekends, holidays, and peak tourism seasons.
• Experience in a tourist attraction, railroad, or transportation-based hospitality business is a plus but not required.
Salary : $175,000
