This position will spend 95% of the time standing/walking and 5% of the time sitting. Position requires ability to bend, twist, make repetitive motions, use hands to hold and carry items/trays, kneel, reach, push and pull. This position requires the ability to work/move safely on a moving train. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Direct contact with guests, managers, and co-workers. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, snow, rain and water.

Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests upon arrival and ensure they feel comfortable and welcome.
- Check customers' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages when ordered.
- Effectively merchandise food and beverage menus in an informative, friendly, and enthusiastic manner, answering any questions customers may have concerning menu items.
- Inform customers of any specials.
- Accurately take guest orders in a timely fashion and enter the order into computer system for transmittal to kitchen staff.
- Checks with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems timely.
- Serve food and/or beverages to customers.
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, take them to the kitchen for cleaning.
- Clean, stock, and maintain the workstations throughout shift.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Correctly and precisely calculate each guest check and collect payments.
- Complete cleaning tasks on board during, between and after departures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as directed by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or actively pursuing an education.
- Prior experience serving in a restaurant preferred.
- TIPS certified preferred.
