Your Role :
As the Chief Nursing Officer, you will oversee high-quality resident care, collaborate with medical staff, and ensure residents receive optimal treatment across various settings, including long-term, sub-acute, and memory care. This position necessitates strong clinical expertise, superb communication skills, and a commitment to resident-centered care.
Key Responsibilities Include :
Planning, organizing, directing, supervising, and evaluating nursing care to achieve positive clinical and financial outcomes.Providing professional guidance and oversight to support staff.Ensuring patient care assignments align with staff competencies and patient needs.Scheduling and assigning nursing tasks, and monitoring follow-through on work results.Fostering a positive work environment for patients and their families.Responding to inquiries from patients and healthcare teams promptly.Reporting significant updates to the Executive Director / Administrator.Communicating changes in residents' conditions to the healthcare team and family.Qualifications :
Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.2-4 years of leadership in a long-term care environment.Understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations.Experience with the geriatric psychiatric population is a plus.Ability to assess health problems and formulate nursing care plans.Supervising medication administration and treatment procedures as prescribed by physicians.Monitoring resident progress and reacting to condition changes.Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.Educating residents and families on health issues and discharge processes.Maintaining accurate documentation in line with regulations, including HIPAA compliance.Engaging in case management for continuity of care.Supporting specialized care in areas like PT, OT, and Pain Management.Preferred Skills :
Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts.A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience.Leadership and medication administration skills.Experience with PCC (Point Click Care) EMR.Knowledge of memory care techniques and MDS assessments.Familiarity with operations in Skilled Nursing and Dementia units.Strong background in case management practices.Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills for effective communication and multitasking.Employment Benefits Include :
