Position Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED or Higher
Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of student and school personnel information
- Maintain discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive learning environment for all students and staff
- Ensure adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students
- Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
- Report all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible
- Implement lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate
- Dismiss all students from the classroom before leaving the building
- Complete a Substitute Teacher Report Form for the regular classroom teacher
- Collect and places students’ papers in regular teacher’s desk
- Return instructional materials, equipment, and keys to proper plac
- Perform other related duties as assigned by building administrator(s) in accordance with school/state policies and practices

Substitute Pay Schedule
Substitutes
- Certified
- Teaching Certification required (regardless of the duties performed) - $110.00 per day
Daily rate is based on an 8 hour work day; if more than four (4) hours is worked, the whole daily rate is paid; If you are scheduled to work an am shift You will be required to work the full day in another assignment. If four (4) hours or less is worked, half of the daily rate is paid.
- Degreed
- Bachelor’s Degree required (based on the duties performed, 8 hour work day)
- Teacher - $100.00 per day
- Daily rate is based on an 8 hour work day; if more than four (4) hours is worked, the whole daily rate is paid; If you are scheduled to work an am shift You will be required to work the full day in another assignment. If four (4) hours or less is worked, half of the daily rate is paid.
- Campus Teacher Aide - $10.00 per hour
- Office Aide - $10.00 per hour
- Non-Degreed (based on the duties performed, 8 hour work day)
- Teacher - $90.00 per day
- Daily rate is based on an 8 hour work day; if more than four (4) hours is worked, the whole daily rate is paid; If you are scheduled to work an am shift You will be required to work the full day in another assignment. If four (4) hours or less is worked, half of the daily rate is paid.
- Campus Teacher Aide - $10.00 per hour
- Office Aide - $10.00 per hour
Long Term Substitute Information and Rates
A Long-Term Substitute that works the same assignment for three (3) consecutive weeks without missing any days during that time or any assignment requiring administration of 6 weeks tests and computation of grades will be paid at the long term substitute rate as listed below.
- Certified: $150.00
- Degreed: $120.00
- Non-Degreed: $100.00
