Hours: 9AM - 5:30PM
Days: Monday - Friday
JOB SUMMARY
Establishes and maintains a stimulating program of activities which are of interest and benefit to the Residents and encompass intellectual, creative, physical and social activities. Must be able to organize special events and plan a calendar of monthly events at varying times of the day to include many Residents and their families. Must have skills to publish events in a monthly newsletter as well as plan ahead quarterly. Finds and secures vendors to support the various activities and manage the activities budget.
Maintains appropriate contact with Residents who are not as social through various means (calls, cards, one-on-one meetings).
Responsible for understanding the general offerings of Royal Oaks to provide tours when necessary. Responsible for welcoming Residents to Royal Oaks. Helps perform data entry of marketing information. Assists Retirement Counselor with marketing events onsite and offsite as needed
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School or GED equivalent required, and experience working in a senior living community preferred.
Licensure: None
Experience: One year experience preferred.
Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills. Word processing and computer experience required.
Project Management skills and an eye for detail. Energetic and enthusiastic. Must enjoy and have passion for working with the senior population.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Work in typical office environment subject to interruptions with moderate to heavy work volume requirement. Coordinates events and transportation for residents. Flexible work schedule that may include evenings and occasionally weekends. Royal Oaks promotes a clean air environment in all areas of the community both inside and outside, therefore, smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises of the community. Moderate amounts of physical activity, including stooping, bending, loading and lifting.
