We are looking for a dedicated PT Laundry Aide to join our team at Royal Oak Nursing Center. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facilities. You will work collaboratively with our housekeeping & nursing team to ensure that all laundry services meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Shift available:
Friday & Sunday 3p-11p
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines, ensuring they function correctly and safely.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, resident personal clothing, and other items according to established procedures, ensuring proper handling of fabrics.
- Perform routine inspections of laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies, including detergents and other cleaning materials.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate laundry service delivery.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a healthcare or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of proper laundry techniques and fabric care.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment and best practices.
- Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and their safe handling.
