Royal Oak Recycling, a full service recycler of plastics, paper and cardboard seeks a hardworking, charismatic, reliable Operations Supervisor to join our team. We are a safety oriented company and offer a fast-paced work environment, competitive wages and health benefits.
Job Description:
Individual will oversee plant operations and perform a broad range of duties including but not limited to:
Duties:
- Managing and overseeing of the dispatch team (Roll off, Front End Loader, Semi, Flatbed).
- Managing and overseeing of the driver team (same as above with approx. 5 drivers).
- Responsible for all DOT diligence, reports, inspections, licensing.
- Responsible for maintenance of equipment used by drivers, including their trucks, trailers, bins.
- Responsible for creating/maintaining routing strategies that maximize efficiency.
- Plant Manager will oversee day to day operations, including but not limited to OSHA safety protocol, attendance, employee conduct, hiring/termination.
- Training new plant/driver team members in recognizing all grades of fiber, plastics common to our facility.
- Assisting with coordination of traffic flow in and outside of the yard.
- Responsible for the maintaining of inventory of assets and tools.
- Manage equipment scheduled maintenance and working with the Maintenance Team.
Required Skills:
2 years in a management position. 3 years in fleet operations or related field. Must be highly organized and professional, able to multitask, work well under pressure, and have great communication skills. Recycling/waste industry experience a plus. Must be a self-starter and able to work in a team environment with no supervision. Individual must have the ability to work overtime/flexible hours. Hours will vary depending on driver/plant start time and current project needs. Starting hours will be Monday-Friday 8am-5:00pm.
All candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
