As we continue to expand, we are seeking an HR Coordinator who will primarily focus on recruitment and talent acquisition while also supporting the HR Manager with essential HR administrative functions. This is a hands-on, dynamic role where you will play a critical part in shaping our workforce by attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent across both industries.
Position Overview:
The HR Coordinator will support the HR Manager in executing recruitment and talent acquisition strategies for both the construction and hospitality sectors. While recruitment will be the primary focus, you will assist in sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and managing the hiring process. Additionally, you will provide valuable support with various HR administrative tasks to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of the organization by helping to attract and retain top talent.
Responsibilities:
- Lead recruitment efforts for both construction and hospitality roles, from posting job ads to managing candidate communications, screening applicants, conducting interviews, and extending job offers.
- Work closely with the HR Manager to understand staffing needs across both sectors and ensure timely fulfillment of open roles.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and other channels to build a strong candidate pipeline.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records and provide regular updates to the HR Manager.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing documentation, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all compliance requirements are met.
- Provide ongoing support for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
- Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with creating and maintaining HR documents, policies, and reports.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR-related matters, including benefits, company policies, and employment procedures.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as directed by the HR Manager.
- Coordinate with managers in the construction and hospitality sectors to understand specific workforce needs and develop effective strategies for attracting top talent.
- Provide general HR support and ensure consistent application of HR policies across both sectors.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- 1-2 years of HR or administrative experience, ideally with exposure to recruitment in the construction or hospitality sectors.
- Familiarity with HR practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Physical Demands:
- Be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer
