What are the responsibilities and job description for the Injection Molding Processing Technician - 3rd shift Sunday - Thursday 11:30 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. position at Royal Plastics, Inc.?
General Purpose
To start-up, maintain or improve processes of the injection molding machines and secondary equipment. These processes shall meet or exceed the Quality requirements set by the Quality Department and according to customer specifications.
Authority To
This is a physically demanding and safety-sensitive position, which requires employees to move throughout the plant and to use ladders to climb onto presses. The individual will require some, if not all, of the following qualifications to support this position.
To start-up, maintain or improve processes of the injection molding machines and secondary equipment. These processes shall meet or exceed the Quality requirements set by the Quality Department and according to customer specifications.
Authority To
- Start-up, shut down or alter a manufacturing process as required.
- Not use equipment, or perform any acts where safety is an issue.
- Perform mold changes and set-up auxiliary equipment when required.
- Perform tasks asked of them by their supervisor.
- Perform minor maintenance as required by their supervisor.
- Excellent attendance and work ethic.
- Interpret quality control findings and make adjustments as required.
- Audit processes and make changes as needed.
- Perform mold changes efficiently and safely at all times.
- Maintain mold and fixture areas as needed.
- Evaluate and investigate efficiency of injection molding machines and adjust as needed.
- Complete all required documentation.
- Maintain housekeeping requirements.
- Perform other duties assigned to them by their supervisor.

- Employees must attend and pass towmotor safety program.
- Must be familiar with molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Must be familiar with the technology associated with injection molding.
- Must have the ability to perform and complete mold changes.
- Must have good work habits and the ability to reason.
- Must have prior molding experience.
- Employee must be able to lift equipment and materials on a frequent and recurring basis up to 50 pounds.
- Employee must maintain an acceptable absentee level and be able to work overtime as required.
