Medication Technician Job Summary
We have an immediate opening for a Medication Technician at Royal Plaza of Olympus Living. You will be responsible for administering medications to our residents under the supervision of our Registered Nurse. You will review each resident's file, check their current prescriptions, prepare dosages, and assist resident's with taking all their required medicines. We also expect our Medication Technicians to provide direct care to our residents and collaborate with other staff to ensure our residents receive the best care possible.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review resident records and discuss current medications with staff nurses
- Prepare proper dosages and distribute medications to residents
- Document all medicines given to ensure resident records are current
- Coordinate medication changes, refills, and deliveries with resident’s physicians and pharmacies
Medication Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Medication Technician Certification (Required)
- 1 years working with the elderly and assisting with medications (Required)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must pass a background check and drug test
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
