PLAYER AMBASSADOR / GOLF STARTER(Year round, Part-Time)

Royal Poinciana Golf Club seeks a passionate and highly motivated service professional who enjoys making each moment special and memorable for Members and guests.

SUMMARY: The Player Ambassador/Golf Starter will advise Members and their guests on the best location to start their golf round to ensure orderly play. This position controls the pace of play by carefully monitoring group positions on the course and promotes an ongoing dialogue and rapport with Club Members.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Engage Members and guests with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Operate our “Whoosh” system categorically assigning groups a place in line to start
• Monitor our GPS (Pace) system for appropriate pace of play
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Keep accurate records ensuring proper billing
• Learn the club’s history, golf operation policies and procedures, as well as Member names
• Well-groomed and punctual
• Effective written and verbal communicator
• Must be flexible and willing to work some weekends and holidays

Job Requirements:

• One year experience at an upscale private club as a Golf Starter is preferred.
• Must have golf experience

Salary & Benefits: This is a year-round, part-time, hourly, non-exempt position, eligible for overtime. Hourly pay is competitive and varies depending on the candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
