General Labor

Position Summary:

The Operations General Labor is responsible for the specialty dryer area, the scrape & packing area, tray wash, as well as for the dice & packing area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·Perform daily tasks in production, including but not limited to setting up trays, spraying oil, removing trays.

· Verify weight of product according.

· Move stacks of trays inside the dryer.

· Maintain adequate lots, inside the dryer and outside the dryer.

· Distinguish between organic and conventional products based off lots.

· Notify supervisor / QA if foreign material is found.

· Move trays with product to scrape pack area.

· Move empty trays to the cleaning and oiling area.

· Scrape product from trays to pack line.

· Must be able to open boxes and lift onto a line.

· Must verify weights and remove product as needed.

· Ensure all cases are labeled correctly and taped accordingly.

· Remove any foreign material.

· Set all findings aside for QA.

· Maintain work area organized and in clean condition.

· Follow mixture procedures being added to the dicer.

· Responsible in creating cases with liners for shift.

· Ensure all cases are passed through the metal detector belt.

· Inspect each pallet to ensure no broken or dirty pallets are used.

· Ensure all cases have slip sheets on top of each pallet before stacking.

· Ensure that all cases are correctly labeled and taped.

· Inspect fruit on shaker and remove stems, clumps, and unacceptable fruit from the line flow.

· Ensure that all findings are set aside for QA inspection and documentation.

· Follow all food safety rules.

· Ability to identify pits, stems, and unacceptable fruit.

· Ability to understand and follow operational procedures for the laser sorter machinery.

· Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

· Understand the use of chemicals and their application along with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), requirements.

· Ensure all new juice is returned to where it was mixed.

· Follow all mixture procedures from one vat to the next.

· Consistently steady

Education/Experience:

· Preferably able to read, write, and communicate in both English and Spanish.

Physical Abilities:

o Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to:

o use hand/arms to reach, finger, handle, or feel;

o have the basic knowledge of how to use a phone or tablet and use its applications;

o utilize listening, verbal, and written communication to exchange information;

o clearly see 20 feet, with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors;

o stand, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist and climb stairs;

o lift, carry, push, and/or pull 25 lbs. (may occasionally be up to 50 lbs)

o high pace environment;

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 5x8
• 8 hour shift
• Morning shift
• Overnight shift
