Process Lead Production

Position Summary:

The Process Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of a specific production area, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely. This role involves hands-on work, leading by example, and providing direction to production team members. The Process Lead ensures that all operations are performed in compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Production Oversight:

• Coordinate with team members to meet production targets, quality standards, and adherence to the production schedule.
• Ensure that dryer and infuser are set up and operating efficiently and address any minor mechanical issues or escalate as needed.
• Relieve team member rotation through breaks, lunch, and fill in for work assignment coverage as needed.
• Oversee general area housekeeping, dryer and infusion clean in place (CIPs), and sanitation activities to minimize downtime.

2. Quality Control:

• Comply with regular quality checks to ensure that product meets company standards.
• Identify and address any quality issues or deviations from standard operating procedures (SOPs).

3. Team Leadership:

• Provide direction and guidance to production team members, ensuring that they understand their tasks and responsibilities.
• Assist with training new employees and providing ongoing support to team members.
• Lead by example in following company policies, procedures, and safety rules.

4. Safety and Compliance:

• Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring that all safety and food safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed, and hazards are addressed promptly.
• Conduct regular safety audits and participate in safety meetings as required.
• Properly report any safety incidents or near misses in accordance with company policies and procedures.

5. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with supervisors, managers, and support staff to implement changes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and encourage team members to contribute ideas for enhancing production efficiency and employee engagement.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

• Complete shift or daily production reports and record updates as required.
• Ensure accurate documentation of production data, quality checks, and any incidents or deviations.
• Promptly and clearly communicate any production issues or delays to the Production Manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
