Summary:
Completes sanitation tasks by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Note: Other duties may be assigned.)
- Utilize proper procedure for washing and sanitizing dishes, flatware, pots, and pans.
- Return clean dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to appropriate areas.
- Utilize proper procedures for cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
- Perform tasks as noted on posted cleaning schedules.
- Dispose of refuse to trash room and break down boxes.
- Monitor dish machine for proper temperature and record; report malfunctions.
- Report needed repairs in the work area.
- Test and record potency for sanitizing solution in a three-compartment sink.
- Maintain standards of sanitation based on County, State, and Federal regulations.
- Be available for duty during emergency situations.
- Be available for AM and PM work shifts.
- Operate an industrial dishwasher, washing dishes and glassware by hand when necessary
- Unload dishes, silverware, and glassware promptly and store them in the appropriate places
- Carry out any assigned cleaning tasks around the kitchen and premises, including emptying trash cans, cleaning drink machines, under and behind kitchen equipment, and cleaning any spills and broken glass immediately.
- Assist cooks and servers as needed, especially during peak hours
- Report any serious incidents to upper management, such as machine failure or broken facilities
- Other duties as requested
