Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include

Key Job Functions
- Complete opening, running and closing side work to Sonesta standards.
- Responsible for taking reservations, providing information to guests about the restaurant and the hotel.
- Assists in quality service and insure smooth operation of the restaurant at all times.
- Act as the first and last contact to ensure ultimate guest satisfaction.
- Open restaurant operation with correct staffing each scheduled day.
- Maintain high visibility for guests and staff, during meal periods.
- Maintain appropriate flow of food and beverage to guests.
- Keep dining room clean, neat and attractive at all times.
- Assure proper setting of tables.
- Move and arrange tables and chairs as directed by the manager or supervisor.
- Assure proper stocking, cleanliness and neatness of service stations, including polished silverware, glassware, cups, saucers, plates, condiments, butter, creamers, pitchers, beverages, linen, etc.
- Demonstrate knowledge about all products offered, to helpfully discuss details of food, such as cook time, temperature, ingredient and flavors, to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all liquor, beer, and wine, including pour sizes, brands available and pricing.
- Maintain an attentive presence in the dining room.
- Maintain a discreet non-intrusive manner.
- Maintain dining room through prompt and precise resetting of the tables.
- Participate in restaurant/hotel promotions and practices.
- Communicate with management whenever opportunities occur (guest complaints, shortages of supplies and products, guest or associate injuries).
- Follow proper ordering and payment procedures.
- Specifically thank guest and invite them to return
- To perform other work-related duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Skills

- 1-2 years' experience in a restaurant or customer service environment
- Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates.
- Strong communication skills
- Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
- May be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Pay Range
Pay Range $15.00 to $17.83/hr. plus tips. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and job-specific experience/overall experience.
