Key Job Functions
- To establish a comprehensive understanding and demonstrate the Royal Sonesta guest standards
- To establish and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all: cleaning chemicals, air fresheners and supplies required for this position
- To establish an understanding and knowledge for all surfaces to be cleaned and appropriate cleaners
- Report all maintenance problems and follow up to completion

Maintain cleanliness and order on his/her assigned guest floor to include:
- Guest elevator landings: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and general cleaning of baseboards
- Guest hallways, emergency stairwells, terraces and/or walkways: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, general cleaning baseboards
- Employee elevator landings
- Ice Machine Rooms
- Linen lockers and other storage spaces
- Remove trash and other debris from Room Attendant carts to be disposed of in the garbage truck/dumpster
- Assist Room Attendants by supplying items as needed (i.e.) robes, guest linens
- Regularly sort guest linens that are processed in-house from those that are processed at the hotels laundry service
- Regularly assist with laundry truck deliveries by taking soiled linen to the laundry truck and retrieving clean linen
- Guest linens, guest supplies, cleaning chemicals, items
- Guest runs/delivery items to guestrooms

Qualifications and Skills
A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency.
- Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
- Have basic to intermediate writing/reading/comprehension skills and professional vocabulary and etiquette
- Have the ability to comfortably interact with guests, work alone or with others
- Maintain Sonesta uniform and grooming standards
- Comfortably work in a diverse environment with regard to guests, members of the Housekeeping T.E.A.M. and hotel employees
- PC-based computer platforms (Smartphone technology – HotSOS – to report maintenance discrepancies)
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
