Royal South Mazda Volvo of Bloomington is looking to grow our Service Department with a Technician! Our team would appreciate an experienced technician who will add professionalism, quality, & enthusiasm to our shop. If you are an experienced Technician, we'd like to speak with you! If you have experience with a similar car line as a tech, we'd like to speak with you! If you want to continue your career as a Mazda or Volvo factory trained technician or become one, we have a great opportunity here for you! We offer a growing service center based on our customer's trust and satisfaction knowing their vehicle has been properly serviced. Our Service team has a great customer satisfaction track record with more Mazda and Volvo customers heading our way. We will also continue your training and support your certification advancement. We utilize digital tools here for transparency and to reinforce your recommendations to our customers. Photos and videos of your suggested services will help our shop succeed and is expected. You will also be expected to maintain a clean and safe working area in our shop. We are open Monday through Friday so you can enjoy your weekends here in Bloomington! Requirements:
You must have a valid driver's license with a clean record. All will be checked for insurability.
You must be a team oriented person who is flexible and respectful to any fellow employees and be focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
You must be a punctual and dependable person. Our customers expect us ready and willing to service their vehicles on their time schedule.
Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire changing equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic and A/C equipment.
Mazda or Volvo & ASE Certification is a huge plus!

- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to determine necessary repairs and maintenance
- Perform a variety of mechanical and electrical repairs, including engine and transmission work, brake and suspension repairs, and electrical system repairs
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and customers regarding repair recommendations and timelines
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and parts used
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and advancements in Volvo vehicles
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and training
