QUALIFICATIONS
Experience driving a water truck would be preferred. A high school degree or equivalent would be a bonus. Here are the minimum requirements:
- 1 years of physical labor experience
- Experience working with sewer lines, pressurized water lines, septic tanks, and grease traps
- Basic construction knowledge and ability to navigate job sites
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift 70 pounds, and perform the required physical duties
- Ability to use a smartphone and apps
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
A DAY IN THE LIFE
As an Experienced Excavation Laborer, you usually work from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Working seamlessly with our skilled construction team, you're responsible for installing water, sewer, and stormwater lines and utility components. You closely read construction plans, gain an understanding of the project, and expertly operate various hand tools and equipment like lasers, jackhammers, and tamping machines. Attentive to detail, you connect pipes, seal joints, execute backfill excavations, and install sewer manholes. You also dig ditches and level earth according to grade specifications. As needed, you take on other responsibilities like driving a water truck.
