ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS JOB?
As an Experienced Underground Utility Laborer, you work with your team to accurately install water, sewer, stormwater lines, and related components. Keeping safety at the forefront, you expertly use tools like jackhammers, tamping machines, and lasers to identify utility lines, grade trenches, and dig ditches. You lift and carry installation materials as well as connect pipes and seal joints. Following all construction plans and grade specifications, you perform backfill excavations, install sewer manholes, and occasionally drive a water truck. Attention to detail is crucial, and you give every day your best effort!
To get started, you need:
- 1 years of physical labor experience
- Experience working with sewer lines, pressurized water lines, septic tanks, and grease traps
- Basic construction knowledge and ability to navigate job sites
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift 70 pounds, and perform the required physical duties
- Ability to use a smartphone and apps
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Experience driving a water truck would be preferred. A high school degree or equivalent would be a bonus.
