Material Handler / Delivery Route Driver

Roles and Responsibilities

The delivery driver / Material handler is responsible for delivering product to customers on various routes. When not making deliveries, the position organizes the warehouse and pick orders for the shipping department. There is an expectation of some sales and learning about the products that you are delivering. This role is also expected to maintain and organize inventory as well as maintain the appearance and basic upkeep of the facility. This includes,

• To maintain and contribute to a positive work culture

• To provide excellent customer support to wholesale customers we are delivering and shipping to; as well as retail customers that are in the building
• Maintain current knowledge of products and services offered by the company
• Keep track of paperwork and process all orders including using a cash drawer and credit card machine
• Fill and package orders that need to be delivered or shipped
• Keep delivery vehicles in excellent condition and report any potential problems
• Use an electronic driving log on all routes
• Stay current with driver physicals
• Be ok with overnight delivery routes in Washington, Idaho, and Montana
• Stocking shelves in warehouse when necessary
• Routine facility maintenance
• Manage customer issues with patience and follow through
• Be a part of the Royal Upholstery Team by being available to assist with other projects and tasks as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must possess good communication skills and must have a pleasing personality as they deal with various people. Possess a friendly telephone demeanor
• Must be physically fit and able to lift 125 lbs.
• Must be a good driver with a clean driving record (This position does not require a CDL)
• Must be well organized, detail oriented, and possess basic math skills
• Able to operate basic hand and power tools

We are a drug free work zone, including cannabis, must be able to accommodate routine drug and alcohol testing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
