This is a hybrid position means the employee is expected to work both remotely (from home or another location) and in the office. This involves 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. However, for the first 3 months, full attendance at the office is required.

What do we expect from you as a Procurement Buyer?
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Additional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), or similar procurement-related certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting related to procurement is preferred.
- Training & Development: Train employees on S&P processes and best practices to ensure Global KPIs and Process Indicators remain within acceptable ranges.
- ERP/Tools Enhancements: Act as a Key User for the business unit, managing ERP system improvements to enhance procurement operations, including contractor management and third-party service API integrations.
- Vendor Onboarding: Lead the vendor onboarding process, ensuring compliance with Vopak's standards and policies.
- Supplier Risk & Prequalification: Conduct Supplier Risk Assessments and Prequalification processes to ensure suppliers meet Vopak's requirements.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, including conducting Procurement Effectiveness Assessments.
- Master Data Compliance: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of Vendor master data in the procurement system through annual audits, following Global Master Data and local procedures.
- Purchase Order Processing: Process POs under $25K (or above if linked to a Framework Agreement) in line with Vopak's standard procedures.
- Data Analytics & Reporting: Responsible for extracting and analyzing data from Fusion Cloud applications to provide actionable insights.
- Liaison Role: Serve as the main point of contact between outsourced services, vendors, and employees, ensuring adherence to Vopak's S&P procedures and standards.
What does your day look like?
Your core responsibilities are:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Sourcing and Procurement, with a strong preference for background on tax regulations, withholding requirements, and an understanding of how the Vendors Tax ID forms are used in relation to U.S. tax reporting.. This directly affects the company's compliance, the payee's tax obligations, and the overall financial reporting process.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Oracle Cloud, involving in Experience integrating APIs is valued.
- Knowledge of industry vendors and the ability to source and evaluate suppliers effectively specially in Gas and Oil Industry.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with excellent phone etiquette.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills; adept at handling diverse personalities, negotiating, and resolving conflicts.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage purchase orders and invoices promptly and accurately.
