Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounting Manager at Royal White Cement in Houston, TX. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing financial statements, conducting analytical tasks, handling journal entries, overseeing finance matters, and managing fixed assets on a day-to-day basis.
This position reports directly to the CFO and will manage the accounting staff.
Duties
- MUST HAVE: NetSuite or Oracle experience. Please so not apply if you do not mee the requirement.
- Preferred: CPA or relevant experience 20
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Apply GAAP principles in financial reporting
- Assist with technical accounting issues and implementation
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Utilize NetSuite or similar accounting software for data entry and reporting
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes
- Provide support during audits and tax preparation
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial concepts
- Manages the month- end close process by completing bank reconciliations, posting revenue and expenses, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensures accurate and timely reporting
- Manages all accounting functions including but not limited to general ledger accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Reviews, evaluates and implements accounting systems, controls, policies, and
- procedures.
- Prepares monthly reporting including income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows in addition to supplemental reporting on fixed assets, depreciation and amortization of prepaid expenses.
- Maintains the chart of accounts to accommodate the business needs and provides insight into major expense categories.
- Maintains general ledger system and the integration of other systems into the general ledger.
- Completes monthly and quarterly sales reports.
- Manages accounts payable.
- Manages the annual audit and works with outside CPA firm in preparation of annual tax returns.
- Assists with the annual and quarterly budgeting process
- Completes special projects that may be assigned
Qualifications
- Financial Statements, Journal Entries (Accounting), and Analytical Skills
- Finance and Fixed Assets management
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation is a plus
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
