What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor position at Royal White Cement?
Royal White Cement Inc. is a supplier of White Cement with locations in Houston, Texas (HQ), Lake Park Florida, Savannah Georgia, Long Beach, Stockton California.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Foreman who effectively coordinate the daily operation of the production ensuring all environmental, safety, quality, and production targets are being met.
Duties
- Adhere to safety policies, programs, procedures.
- Follow and promote all safety policies, including but not limited to risk assessments before starting tasks.
- Perform only trained and authorized activities in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain terminal quality control program.
- Operate unloading equipment to unload bulk cement from trucks and rail cars into storage area.
- Verify accuracy of paperwork for incoming/outgoing shipments.
- Operate and monitor all terminal equipment.
- Interpret and understand readings on equipment instrumentation panels.
- Interact with team members of terminal on a regular basis to gather or communicate information and proactively solve problems.
- Work includes manual labor.
- Ability to drive and operate various mobile equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, forklifts, bobcat, hi-reach, and other light industrial equipment required.
- Lead, track and execute preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of the terminal.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns of equipment; perform and assisting major repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Oversees and assist in cleans-up of loading areas, silos, hoppers, and yard area.
- Communicates with and cooperates with drivers and customers.
Physical requirements:
- Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
- Heavy Work-Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment.
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions and tolerate extreme temperatures.
Qualifications:
- Experience in cement distribution, construction, or similar industry preferred.
- Comfortable with working in a dusty environment.
- Ability to effectively guide and supervise direct reports.
