Armed Security Officer

We are seeking a highly responsible and professional Armed Security Guard to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. The ideal candidate will be proactive, vigilant, and committed to ensuring the safety and security of our clients, their property, and personnel. As an Armed Security Guard, you will be tasked with maintaining a secure environment by enforcing policies, performing patrols, and responding to security incidents when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol assigned area (on foot or vehicle) to deter and detect any suspicious activities.
- Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and alarms, to ensure the safety of the premises.
- Respond to incidents such as trespassing, vandalism, theft, or disturbances, and take appropriate action, including contacting law enforcement if necessary.
- Provide a visible deterrent to criminal activity and enforce safety policies to maintain a secure environment.
- Write clear and concise incident reports, and any other required documentation.
- Act as a first responder to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, or other urgent situations.
- Remain alert at all times, providing immediate responses to any security or safety concerns.
- Comply with all safety protocols, legal regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel as needed.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with the public, clients, and coworkers.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid Ohio Armed Security Guard license or the ability to obtain one.
- Valid concealed carry permit (CCW) or other applicable firearms certifications.
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check, including criminal history and drug screening.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Physical ability to perform patrols and respond to emergencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (for vehicle patrols).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
