Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises through CCTV, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and conflict management while ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular inspections of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Document incidents, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies as needed during investigations or emergencies.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries while maintaining security protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training programs related to security practices, conflict management, and emergency response.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to pass background checks and any required pre-employment screenings.
- MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR THIS POSITION.
