What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handling Manager position at Royer Corp?
â Organize all raw materials as they come in by creating a designated location for all items.
â This is includes, but is not limited to: Resin, Colorant, Foil, Glitter, Pigment, Arbors, Media, Paint
â Continually maintain accurate counts of inventory while keeping all items in designated locations.
â Monthly counts will need to be submitted that initially fall within a /-10% accuracy.
â Implementing processes to improve the accuracy will be required.
â Work with the procurement/supply chain team to provide forecasts to suppliers on what raw materials
will be needed.
â Verifying the required space is available along with receiving the material will be a requirement.
â This will initially involve weekly counts and daily communication for the major moving supplies
â Keep labor rates for all material handlers (across all shifts) below budget through scheduling and help
create more efficient processes.
â Continuously look for process improvements that will drive labor rates down for the
department/production floor.
â Work with production/scheduler to prepare jobs for off-shifts by laying out required materials with
estimated amounts of materials required to complete the job.
â Be a key member in helping implement the ISO9001 requirements.
