We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Southern Case Arts. As a Project Manager for New Product Development, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and launch of new products, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and are delivered on time and within budget. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure that all aspects of the product development process are executed flawlessly.
Essential Duties/Job Responsibilities (Job Duties)
- Support the development of designs for new and existing commercial refrigerators and freezers―from concept through prototyping through product launch―that meet Design for Manufacturing guidelines to achieve customer-specific requests and strategic business goals.
- Apply open-air commercial refrigeration mechanical-design principles to develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the design of new products and the improvement of existing products.
- Use parametric 3D CAD, apply refrigeration-systems design and electrical-systems design, and utilize principles of ergonomic design for sales and merchandizing of retail products to fabricate commercial refrigerators and freezers.
- Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to evaluate design and analyze strength of materials, focusing on improving performance, overall design, quality, and safety in compliance with NSF, UL, and U.S. Department of Energy regulations for commercial refrigeration.
- Resolve issues encountered in product development using fluid-dynamics principles.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:
- 2 years of open-air commercial refrigeration mechanical-design experience.
- Experience with strength of materials.
- Experience with parametric 3D CAD.
- Experience with NSF, UL, and U.S. Department of Energy regulations for commercial refrigeration.
- Experience with ergonomic design for sales and merchandising of retail products.
- Experience with designing refrigeration systems.
- Experience with designing electrical systems.
- Experience with fluid dynamics.
Salary : $103,600 - $129,300
