Scope of the position
Roytec’s training purpose and strategy is to expand employee abilities and maximize quality performance. In our continuing efforts to meet customers' needs, the Training Department continually observes, assesses and performs training to meet individual, departmental and organizational needs.
Responsibilities of the position
- Execute new employee orientation, communicating performance standards, production procedures, time and attendance policies and safety policies
- Execute Quality and Production procedure training as requested by HR and Production.
- Assist the HR department by performing Roytec Employee Onboarding and plant safety tours.
- Execute and evaluate training follow up assessments, and refresher training as needed.
- Track and document all in process skill related training throughout the plant on a daily basis.
- Execute the daily safety walk through inspection and report all findings to the Training and Safety Manager.
- Work with Production Supervisors to schedule and execute monthly employee safety training.
- Work closely with Production Supervisors and Area Leads to identify training needs on the production floor.
- Ensure all completed training and new skills are recorded and received by the Training Department and HR.
- Execute safety recertification training on a scheduled basis and as needed to meet OSHA compliance.
- Develop personnel training schedules for job positions, skill development and skill certifications.
- Ensure all training documentation adheres to the ISO certification standard.
- Conduct Lean 6S Audits plant wide and update 6S database on a monthly basis.
- Ensure the Training Matrix software is updated and reflects current certifications for each active employee
- Report any and all safety issues and hazards to the Training Manager
- Any other task, work schedule or assignment as assigned by the Training Manager
Academic & trade qualifications
- Roytec Employee Status mandatory for internal applicants
- Clean Personnel Record mandatory for internal applicants
- Moderate skill level in Microsoft Office Software (Power Point, Excel and Microsoft Word)
- Must be a self-starter and the ability to adapt to changes in production schedules
- High School graduate or GED preferred
- Public speaking experience preferred
Performance review period: Initial 90 Day Performance Review / Annual Performance
