Our goal is to provide the best care possible to our patients and treat each patient with love, compassion and dignity. Our volunteers are an integral part of our organization, and we look forward to you joining our family.Lena Beker, FounderPOSITION SUMMARYPatient / Family Volunteers / Intern : We are looking for individuals with a caring heart, who are interested in making a difference in the lives of terminally ill patients and their families.Patient / Family Volunteers work directly with the patients and families, providing friendly visits, companionship and caregiver support. Examples of services provided by our Patient / Family Volunteers include : companionship, active listening, reminiscing, caregiver support, reading to the patient, listening to music together, walking the patient's dog, playing an instrument, light housekeeping, and playing cards or games with the patient. The visits schedule is flexible and depends upon volunteer and patient availability. Patient / Family Volunteers are asked to volunteer 4-16 hours per month with regular visits.
