About the Position
This role involves creating detailed estimates, proposals, and related documents, both independently and in collaboration with other team members.
- Develop comprehensive material take-offs from isometric drawings and P&IDs for various applications.
- Gather and prepare work for estimation by collecting proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Analyze blueprints and other documents to create accurate time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
- Submit completed estimates and material orders.
- Establish and maintain a database of suppliers, contractors, and sub-contractors.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must possess:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as an estimator in the construction field.
- Excellent skills in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Knowledge of construction materials and standard bid practices within the industry.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- An understanding of workflow processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information to Project Management.
- Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
