About the Job
In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed estimates, proposals, and related documents, both independently and in collaboration with other team members.
- Develop comprehensive pricing strategies based on material take-offs from isometric drawings and P&IDs.
- Collect and analyze proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents to create accurate estimates.
- Analyze blueprints and other documents to create detailed time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
- Submit completed estimates and material orders.
- Establish and maintain a database of suppliers, contractors, and sub-contractors.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- At least 4 years of experience as an estimator in the construction field.
- Excellent skills in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Knowledge of construction materials and standard bid practices within the industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An understanding of workflow processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information to Project Management.
- Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
