As a key member of our team, you will work closely with colleagues to provide internal customers with the highest quality finished print products. Your responsibilities will include:
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparing electronic files for print-ready format using graphic arts computer software and hardware technology
- Working with the team to provide internal customers with the highest quality finished print products
- Overseeing each project received by the prepress department, including file management, file manipulation, color management, and file delivery to digital production and wide format printers
- Coordinating with the team to maintain a steady, efficient production volume and maximize production capabilities and quality
- Inputting data into department logs and maintaining effective communication with customers
- Ensuring all prepress software and hardware are up-to-date and well-maintained
- Managing color settings across various print software and hardware applications and devices
- Maintaining accurate tracking, filing, and archiving procedures for easy access to data and electronic files
- Troubleshooting art, print files, and department software and hardware as required
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and ensuring timely completion of tasks
- Contributing to maintaining prepress inventory, including wide format inks and materials
- Fostering collaboration between departments to address customer queries and resolve issues
- Developing skills and knowledge to stay current with industry trends and advancements in prepress functionality
- Performing similar job tasks for SWB Print/Mail when necessary
