MUST BE ASCP certified and have done any Micro bench work.
M-F $86,000 and There is a 5% annual bonus. Will have 3 Techs report to them.

Hours as 3am to 12pm
Certified Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) who supervises and oversees all personal within the clinical department, maintaining acceptable TAT. This position must have the advanced skills and knowledge necessary to perform all the duties of a Medical Technologist III Lead.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Support the mission, vision, goals and management decisions.
• Provide leadership and supervision for the assigned department, make decisions, solve problems, develop procedures, and conduct and attend meetings.
• Manage the employee hiring process, developing performance expectations, identifying essential functions and knowledge, skills and abilities required for applicable positions.
• Supervise employee and team performance, new employee orientation processes, employee training and continuing education.
• Manage employee performance by coaching, counseling, motivating, and evaluating employees on a continual basis. Implement disciplinary action as needed and in consultation with manager of the department and Human Resources.
• Ensure effective employee relations by sustaining an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment and establishing effective communication lines and methods. Identify and solve employee problems, manage conflict, and respond to grievances as needed.
• Responsible for validating and correlations on new equipment and new procedures that pertain to the departments.
• Responsible for the performance calibration verification for all departmental equipment.
• Responsible for equipment maintenance including training of staff when appropriate.
• Maintain department in consistent state of inspection readiness by reviewing, updating, and being knowledgeable in department-specific CAP/CLIA/State regulations. Participate in CAP and State inspections.
• Performs all duties of a Medical Lab Technologist III Lead.
• Work in close relationship with Quality and Training coordinator/department lead to ensure all Quality controls and training and competency are up to date and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective departmental QA programs and monitors.
• Coordinate the maintenance, development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with department Leads to ensure appropriate department staffing/workflow needs.
• Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry’s best safety, security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data.
• Respond to Clients and physicians' questions and concerns in a timely manner with courtesy and professionalism.
• Must be familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies.
EDUCATION & LICENSURE:
• Bachelor of Science degree required. Registered by the ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
• Must hold a valid Tennessee Laboratory Supervisor’s License.
• Maintains appropriate continuing education for certification/licensure, and to increase basic knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Over one year supervisory experience is preferred.
• Over six years of prior Laboratory experience including over three years at a Medical Technologist III.
• Must have proven track record in establishing and maintaining positive and productive physician, employee and client relationships.
