Assignment Specifics:
- 9 weeks
- Shift:M-F 8am-5pm with rotating Saturdays 9am-1pm
Job Duties:
- Medication Preparation and Dispensing:
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions.
- Verify prescription details and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Label and package medications for patient distribution.
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Provide information on medication usage, storage, and side effects.
- Address customer concerns and escalate issues to the pharmacist when necessary.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Perform regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
- Ensure medications are stored properly and organized.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Process prescription orders and maintain patient records.
- Handle billing and insurance claims accurately.
- Assist with scheduling and appointment management.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Adhere to pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
- IL Pharmacy Technician License
- 1 year pharmacy technician experience
