Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Pharmacy Technician, with a preference for candidates who have prior Long-Term Care (LTC) experience. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in assisting pharmacists with dispensing medications, ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications.
- Review medication orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain medication inventory, including restocking, labeling, and tracking medications.
- Provide support for patients and healthcare providers by answering medication-related questions.
- Work collaboratively with a healthcare team to ensure proper medication management and patient care.
- Comply with all state and federal regulations, including proper medication storage and handling.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed, including data entry and documentation.
- Assist with medication therapy management for long-term care patients (LTC experience is a plus).
- Ensure the work environment meets health and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Current Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License (Required).
- Previous Pharmacy Technician experience (Required).
- Long-Term Care (LTC) experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
