Job Summary :
The General Sales Manager (GSM) will lead and oversee the sales department, develop effective sales strategies, and work to drive sales growth. This role requires managing the daily operations of the sales team, setting clear goals and objectives, ensuring targets are met, and collaborating with other departments to achieve company-wide goals. The GSM will also analyze sales data, forecast trends, and develop training programs to improve team performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales Strategy Development :
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to drive revenue growth.
- Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the sales team.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies.
Team Leadership :
Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to ensure performance meets targets.Conduct regular meetings with the sales team to review performance and set new goals.Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development to enhance the team's sales capabilities.Sales Operations Management :
Oversee day-to-day sales operations, including tracking leads, managing pipelines, and ensuring timely follow-up.Ensure CRM systems are maintained and updated accurately by sales representatives.Collaborate with marketing to align sales efforts with promotional campaigns.Budget & Revenue Management :
Create sales forecasts and budgets to meet organizational goals.Ensure the team stays within budget while driving revenue growth.Customer Relationship Management :
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and business partners.Handle complex customer inquiries and ensure excellent customer service.Address customer complaints and issues, providing timely resolutions.Reporting & Analysis :
Analyze sales data and performance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.Report on sales performance to upper management and suggest corrective actions when necessary.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make adjustments to the sales approach as needed.Collaboration with Other Departments :
Work closely with marketing, finance, and other departments to ensure a seamless sales process.Collaborate on product launches, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities.Talent Acquisition and Retention :
Assist in hiring, training, and onboarding new sales team members.Foster a positive team culture focused on performance and career growth.Travel
Travel to local locations monthly as well as target locations.Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years in sales management or related field, preferably in telecommunication.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a sales team.Language :
Bilingual in Spanish and EnglishSkills & Competencies :
