Audio Visual Service Technician

Role And Responsibilities

• Execute, manage, and close service tickets, using RPM’s custom service system
• Work both remotely and on-site to resolve system issues
• Connect to and diagnose malfunctioning A/V equipment
• Attempt to reproduce client reported malfunctions
• Work efficiently using the process of eliminations to diagnose system malfunctions
• Test, take photos, and document existing conditions prior to troubleshooting
• Effectively document all work completed on-site
• Troubleshoot A/V issues whether physical, configuration, or software related
• Troubleshoot A/V and client networks issues
• Maintain a service vehicle stocked with an expansive list of materials which may be needed to resolve system issues.
• Obtain and track manufacturer RMA’s and facilitate repairs and replacements with the Integrator on record
• Adjust DSP & control system code with and without remote assistance
• Maintain a utilization rate of 80% or higher
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of Commercial Audio-Visual field installation experience
• Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
• Complete a government and civilian background check and a drug test.
• Familiarity with Crestron, Biamp, QSC, and other product lines and software
• Excellent audio-visual troubleshooting skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Friendly, flexible, and approachable communicator
  
  

Desired Qualifications:

• AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30
• Training or certifications in network streaming technologies such as Crestron NVX
• Training or certifications in Extron, Biamp, Harman, Chief, and QSC
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Available and willing to travel 75-100%
• Cordless drill set (all other tools needed will be provided)

Per RPM AVS’ background check policy, all final candidates will be required to consent to a criminal background investigation. Final candidates may be asked to disclose criminal record history during the initial screening process and prior to a conditional offer of employment.
