ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure that appropriate continuity is maintained at all times while on the air, including programming links, set-ups, and transitions.
- Reinforce the radio station brand and program at all times, including station call letters, positioning statements, creative hooks, cross-promotion, back sells, and social media.
- Deliver all relevant information on an ongoing basis, including time checks, weather updates, and event information.
- Display knowledge and enthusiasm for the music being played, including staying informed about music and related issues.
- Contribute to the creation of the show daily, including participation in aircheck sessions and pre-show content preparation.
- Implement all assigned duties on air, including interviews, writing scripts, and attending station events.
- Prepare all relevant material for the show daily, including promotion mentions and reviewing commercial logs.
- Appear in public as required, including participation in remote broadcasts and community events.
- Create and post original online content that meets company standards on social networking platforms.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES :
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
1-3 years of on-air commercial radio experience.
