Title: Member Risk Adjustment Coordinator I
Location: REMOTE - AR
Duration: 6* Months Contract* (Potential extension )
Target Start Date (based on successful onboarding completion): 03/03/2025
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
Position Purpose:
- Schedule appointments, gather medical histories, and update member and provider information in support of member outreach and claims reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
- Assist members with scheduling office visits with primary care providers.
- Retrieves charts from electronic medical record systems and compiles medical records to send to other parties for coding.
- Requests medical records by making outbound phone calls to provider groups.
- Completes supplemental medical records requests using Excel files.
- Assist with providing updated member and provider information to vendors.
- Directs medical record requests to the responsible party.
- Resolves outstanding vendor pends within a timely manner by updating member and provider demographics and working with chart load issues.
- Ensure follow-up on member appointments or other tasks designated.
- Assist with ad hoc requests.
Day-to-day responsibilities of this role:
- Using Excel to review assigned work and noting work completed
- Calling members to assist in scheduling wellness appointments and confirm their PCP
- Updating member's primary care physicians in the internal systems
- Calling provider offices to schedule appointments
Required Skills/Experience/Education:
- 2 years of RECENT Experience with preserved medical record retrieval systems, EMR systems, billing & coding, and customer service.
- Highly Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, (Skype for Business, Zoom, SharePoint), and Hardwire internet connection with dedicated workspace due to HIPPA. Experience interacting and multitasking using multiple systems and programs simultaneously.
- Professional Spoken Communication Skills, Typing skills (40 WPM), Time management & organizational skills.
- Proof of High School Diploma/GED or higher is REQUIRED. Must have an on-hand copy of HSD/GED/Transcript/Degree.
