RPS Manufacturing Solutions is a Lubbock based manufacturing and distribution company. We have been in business for over 30 years serving as a manufacturer and distributor of flame-resistant work apparel, protective apparel, impact gloves and hi-vis safety wear. Our customer base includes the oil and gas, railroad, wind energy and nuclear industries. Our manufacturing facility is located in Acuna, Mexico and our distribution warehouse are strategically positioned in the neighboring border city of Del Rio, TX.
JOB SUMMARY
Our Company is looking for a part-time Accounting clerk to assist in supporting day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. This person must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle numerous accounts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-oriented, and a professional who practices discretion in all company matters. The company is seeking someone who respects deadlines and is very skilled at multi-tasking. This person will also support the accounts’ payable function and a back-up support for additional related entities.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with posting daily Accounts Receivable transactions.
- Review assigned past due AR accounts and send follow-up collection communications.
- Send customer invoicing with supporting documents.
- Enter, update, and retrieve accounting data from automated systems.
- Enter and post accounts payable invoices.
- Review supplier statements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills and able to effectively communicate in a professional manner with staff, management, customers, and vendors.
- 2 years of experience in accounting preferred.
- Provide courteous communication with customers and vendors.
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to work proficiently in customers’ vendor portal system.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
