Commercial Framing and Drywall Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Framing and Drywall Estimator to support preconstruction efforts for large-scale design-build projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and quantity take-offs for commercial drywall and framing scopes. The ideal candidate brings over a decade of experience in subcontractor-level estimating and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze RFQs, RFPs, plans, and specs to determine scope and develop estimates

• Prepare conceptual, design-build, and hard-bid estimates using On-Screen Takeoff and related software

• Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and vendors

• Develop and manage quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and budget summaries

• Participate in Bid Day reviews and ensure timely proposal submissions

• Maintain cost data, subcontractor directories, and vendor communications

• Support project transitions and post-award coordination with operations teams

• Assist in continuous improvement of estimating tools and processes

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of commercial drywall/framing estimating experience at subcontractor level

• Strong knowledge of conceptual and hard-bid estimating techniques

• Experience in public-sector, design-build construction preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat preferred

• High school diploma or GED required (associate or technical degree a plus)

• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
