About Us:
We are a licensed cannabis cultivation facility located in Hesperia, Michigan, producing high-quality cannabis with a focus on sustainability, compliance, and consistency. As part of our seasonal expansion, we are looking for two motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Technicians.
Position Summary:
The IPM Technician plays a key role in ensuring plant health by preventing, monitoring, and controlling pest and disease issues using integrated pest management strategies. This is a hands-on, labor-intensive position requiring attention to detail, commitment to safety, and adherence to all regulatory and company SOPs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing daily and weekly IPM protocols, including beneficial insect releases, foliar applications, and environmental controls
- Perform plant inspections to monitor pest and pathogen pressure; document and report findings accurately
- Safely handle and apply organic or approved pest control products according to label guidelines and company policy
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all grow areas to minimize pest habitats
- Follow biosecurity measures to prevent cross-contamination
- Work closely with cultivation staff to address pest-related issues proactively
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all IPM activities, treatments, and observations
- Adhere to all state compliance regulations and company safety procedures
Requirements:
- Must be available to work weekends and evening shifts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
- Ability to work in warm, humid environments for extended periods
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stand, and walk for long hours
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE and handle IPM products responsibly
- Reliable transportation to and from the farm
- Must be 21 and able to pass a background check as required by Michigan law
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cannabis cultivation, greenhouse, or agricultural pest management
- Knowledge of beneficial insects, disease identification, and organic treatment methods
- Familiarity with state cannabis regulations and safety standards
- Passion for plant health and sustainable cultivation practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 β 40 per week
