Press (KBA) Operator 2 -Weekend Shift

Job Description

• The position is responsible to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a  KBA sheetfed printing press equipment
• Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates, changing blankets.
• Check for correct positioning of images, adjust paper-plate register.
• Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required
• Performs periodic maintenance per company Preventive maintenance program.
• Job requires ability to exert 20 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 lbs. of force, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
• Work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Hours 6 am to 6 pm, Sunday., Friday, Saturday

Qualifications

• Requires thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials and specifiactions, equipment, and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments
• Skill to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings and materials needed to run the job successfully
• Skill to make a variety of difficult precise settings of controls, settings, and adjustments, and to perform routine operational maintenance of equipment
• Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $21.74 - $31.04 / hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
