Non Medical Caregiver 7am-1pm Monday-Friday

Job Summary
A Non- Medical Caregiver assists people who are unable to complete basic tasks, such as the elderly, the mentally ill or those with disabilities. Caregiver duties include helping clients complete personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating or grooming, and following the patient’s plan.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in the client’s condition to healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Assist clients with mobility, including lifting or transferring individuals as necessary.
• Observe and document patient behavior and progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the living environment for clients.
• Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events.

Skills

• Strong skills in patient observation to identify changes in health status.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or other disabilities.
• Proficient in lifting techniques to safely assist clients with mobility needs.
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and medication administration protocols.
• communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
